Pipex's wireless broadband offering has been rebranded following Tiscali's purchase of the company earlier this year.
Under the Freedom4 banner, the group aims to offer up to eight mbps wireless connection in a number of locations across the UK.
In a joint venture between Pipex and Intel Capital, Freedom4 is to build on wireless services currently being offered by Pipex in Warwick and Milton Keynes by launching in Manchester. The company is then likely to roll-out its coverage across the UK next year.
Mike Read, chief executive of Freedom4, said: "Over the next year, we believe that Freedom4 will become the name associated with broadband wireless internet and look forward to the next stage as our services are rolled out in Milton Keynes, Warwick, Manchester and other parts of the UK."
The majority of the Pipex business was bought by Italian-based broadband provider Tiscali earlier this year for £210 million.
