BT has unveiled plans to spread the word about is latest broadband internet services by opening up two outlets in the UK where consumers can pop in and watch a demonstration.
The idea behind the initiative is to introduce the public to the telecommunications company's super-fast technologies and allow people to ask questions about how the product might be of benefit to them.
According to consumer electronics news and reviews website T3, the first of the stores will be opened up in Whitchurch near Cardiff this week, with a second in the following seven days in Muswell Hill, Hampshire - situated next door to a local chemist.
Matthew Dearden, BT Retail's marketing director, explained that the idea behind both of the facilities is to improve relations between the firm and its potential customers by giving them a window into how broadband is a worthwhile purchase.
"The showcase shows local people what super-fast broadband, currently being trialled in their areas, is all about and enables them to see demonstrations of a range of home and business applications that will enhance their lives," he told the publication.
BT has also suggested the stores will not only be the first web-specific outlets of their kind in Britain, but if successful could be expanded to other cities across the nation.
Last month, the firm announced it was halfway towards completing its plans to set up one million Wi-Fi hotspots across the UK, having exceeded the 500,000 mark.
