More movie options for Virgin Media subscribers

Virgin Media customers with the access to the network's television package could soon be enjoying more on-demand movie content thanks to the announcement of a new service.
PictureBox is the latest subscription TV offering the carrier will provide as part of a deal between itself and Universal Pictures, which is designed to target movie lovers across the UK.
For £5 per month, Virgin Medias 3.6 million users will have access to a broad selection of catalogue titles as well as new releases and high definition films.
The library will contain 28 features at any given time, seven of which will be refreshed on a weekly basis each Friday, keeping the line up fresh for those who like to keep on top of their home cinema viewing.
Virgin Media claims that many of the titles - including those being made available in HD - will not yet have been transmitted through terrestrial TV networks and all will form part of a broad selection designed to appeal to all tastes.
Among the movies people can expect to see in the next few months are Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in Edgar Wright's 2007 explosive comedy Hot Fuzz and modern day action spy thriller The Bourne Ultimatum, with Matt Damon.
Futuristic sci-fi drama will be represented by Children of Men and Total Recall, and for those who are looking for something a little more light-hearted, Eddie Murphy's slapstick comedy The Nutty Professor will also feature.
Romantics will be able to enjoy Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, Kate Winslet and Jude Law in The Holiday and lovers of the classics can choose from Steven Spielberg's ET The Extra Terrestrial and Brian De Palma's gangster epic Scarface.
Katharine Burns, executive director of content at Virgin Media, said: "The addition of PictureBox means Virgin Media is the perfect choice for film fans, with a fantastic HD line-up and even more films to choose from, all at great value."
