TalkTalk blog comments on recent events

Tuesday 7th July 2009, by Daniel King

TalkTalk has spoken in its official blog about two of the latest developmental changes it has undergone over the past seven days.

In a post from Olivia Streatfeild, marketing director of the internet and telephone services provider, the launch of the firm's latest advertising campaign is noted as a major shift for the group as a whole.

Announcing itself as "Britain's brighter phone and broadband company", the firm's new marketing will be accompanied by a manifesto that outlines a number of promises it hopes will help provide better value for its users.

"These focus on keeping our customers' bills low, making their lives easier and providing a broadband connection they [can] count on via our next generation network," Ms Streatfeild explained.

She went on to say more tailored packages that suit the needs of the individual business or home user were among the other options it was hoping to introduce - with a number of new ideas backing this set to be announced shortly.

The marketing campaign was unveiled earlier this week and is said to involve television, newspaper and web advertising. It is noted this will run over the next few months across all of these platforms.

In addition, TalkTalk managing director Wendy Becker extended her recent comments about the merger between the company and Tiscali UK in a post for the blog, calling the acquisition a milestone in the history of the group.

She also used the opportunity to reassure customers of both internet providers that overall quality of service was "our first priority".
