UK Online appeals to small firms
Tuesday 7th August 2007, by Daniel King
Broadband provider UK Online has announced a new deal for small businesses to continue throughout August.
For the rest of this month, small firms will be able to benefit from not having to pay the usual £25 connection fee after a study recently found that the majority of businesses with fewer than ten employees operate without a broadband or dial-up connection, website SeekBriadbanc.com states.
According to Chris Stening, managing director of UK Online, small businesses constitute the UK economy's backbone as well as accounting for about a third of private sector employment.
"This offer will give small businesses in the UK the chance to get started and get on in business, enabling them to connect with their customers and suppliers in the online space while getting excellent value for their investment," he stated.
In related news, website Onrec.com recently stated that small firms are facing many challenges as a new generation of employees enters work.
