Broadband firm UK Online has launched a new service aimed at small businesses to provide them with a competitive product option.
The service offers download speeds of up to 8 Mb and 768 K upload rates, as well as providing a free domain with webmail and 20 email addresses.
In addition, the product also offers McAffee security worth about £50 and round-the-clock freephone support.
Chris Stening, managing director of UK Online, said that small and medium-sized firms were "desperate for a well supported but reasonably priced professional broadband service from someone that understands their unique needs".
The firm states that the extended hours customer service offering could provide businesses with access to experienced professionals in the event of a problem arising.
UK Online recently appointed a new marketing director to help the business manage its emergence as a broadband provider for small businesses.

Speeds in excess of 2 meg are only available in certain areas. Top
speeds vary significantly, particularly according to how far away
you live from the exchange.
If your line won’t support our fastest broadband speed we’ll
give you the best available. The speed you actually get can also vary
depending on the quality of your line, the wiring in your house, the
time of day and even the weather.
