Broadband users 'need speed'

Broadband users 'need speed' It has been revealed that the most important factor in deciding broadband customer satisfaction is download speed, according to Formula research.

The test showed that the three broadband providers with the fastest speeds were also the three rated highest by those asked.

Jessica McArdle, who works for Formula's web company Top 10 Broadband, explained: "This report sends an indisputable message to broadband providers to speed up or face the wrath of disappointed customers."

O2 came out on top for its broadband - which was shown to have an average customer rating of 3.82 out of five, ahead of Be and Virgin Media.

Virgin Media announced in January that it was boosting broadband speeds for its customers from 4Mb to 8Mb, as well as revealing plans to improve the future of speeds with cable broadband.
