The Virgin Media network, which provides internet, television and fixed line communication services across Britain, said it has a new line of products that combine next generation connectivity with affordability.
It is noted the firm is now the first to have completed a full high-speed network facility and will also be offering access to a new 50 Mb broadband option from under £30.
The fibre optics used in the project has been in testing for some time, having been upgraded with the latest DOCSIS 3.0 technology over an 18-month period.
Virgin Media also claimed it has now tripled its network capacity - with the ability to deliver its new "ultrafast speeds" to more than 12 million UK households.
The £28 monthly 50 Mb service will be launched on September 1st and when a phone line is included in the package this charge is bumped up to £38.
Jon James, executive director of broadband at Virgin Media, said this is not the first innovation the group has brought to British shores and the introduction of the new services and pricing structures mark "another pioneering moment for internet access in the UK".
"We are delighted with the performance and reliability of our 50Mb service and with the customer feedback. Now the roll-out is days from being complete, were ready to take 50Mb to the next stage of development," he added.
The network recently announced the latest high definition channels from Living, FX, MTV Networks and National Geographic would be coming to its TV service.
