Virgin Media cuts broadband prices for a limited time

Broadband connection is getting cheaper with Virgin Media's reduced price deals.

Virgin Media has cut the cost of its ten, 20 and 50Mb broadband tariffs for the first three months.

Each package is designed to cater for different needs, with the 20Mb package being described as "perfect for families going online at the same time, downloading movies, online gaming and more".

What more could you ask for?

For me it would be the ten mega-bite option, which still gives me everything that the other packages do but is more suited to a smaller household.

The 50Mb deal, on the other hand, is perfect for those of you who spend your day downloading games and other files and is designed to have lots of people using it at the same time.

A game can be downloaded in about two minutes and, because the service has a fibre-optic connection, you'll find that gaming is "super-responsive".

There seems to be an option for everyone and with prices starting at £5 a month for three months, it's a lot kinder on the back pocket too.

Last year, 400,000 speed tests concluded that Virgin Media offered the speediest service and it was awarded the Fastest Home Broadband award by Top 10.

The offer, which is valid until June 30th 2010, is available with or without a Virgin phone line and includes unlimited downloads, unlimited weekend calls and free internet security.

Commenting on its service, the company said: "There's no limit to the amount you can download and use.

"It couldn't be easier! Once you've chosen, we'll send one of our experts round to install everything and get you up and running."
