Virgin Media offers mobile broadband boost

It's official, smartphones are taking over.
Orange UK's director of product marketing Anthony Keyworth recently suggested these clever gadgets have become extremely popular among Brits recently due to the wide range of apps available to users and progression in technology.
However, he also said access to the internet has improved markedly on such devices, as they make it "so much more readable and user-friendly".
For that reason it's clear that mobile broadband has become a huge phenomenon in the country.
A lot of people I know who have mentioned their desire to buy a smartphone recently have done so simply because it would give them the ability to surf the web on the move.
And many people like this could find they benefit from new handsets being offered by Virgin Media.
The firm stated it's set to introduce customers to the Google-made Android operating system by launching the LG InTouch Max, HTC Desire, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and Samsung Galaxy Portal on the network.
Commenting on the news, the company explaine the handsets would be a bonus for anyone wanting to take advantage of everything mobile broadband has to offer.
"Virgin Media customers will now be able to enjoy some of the best of the mobile web, all neatly brought together by Google's Android operating system. From Twitter to navigation, music to mobile video, there's an Android handset for every taste," it said.
The group added the operating system is ideal for "customers looking for the best in mobile entertainment and browsing on the move".
