Mobile broadband lovers given iPad package tips

Those of you who are clambering to get your hands on the new Apple iPad when it's released in the UK on May 28th have been given some tips on tariffs that may appeal to you.
The dinky device has taken the US market by storm, so far.
It was launched over the pond at the start of last month, with 300,000 being snapped up on its first day on sale.
Commenting at the time, Paddy Smith, online deputy editor at Stuff.tv, said this was particularly impressive as it beat the number of Apple iPhones sold on its first day by some 30,000.
And just look how big the iPhone has become.
So, what deals should you look out for when the tablet finally hits our shelves in the UK?
Well, Richard Wray, writing for the Guardian, has offered us some tips on the best packages to opt for when it comes to the iPad.
There will only be three networks offering mobile broadband access for the gadget at the moment, he explained - O2, Orange and Vodafone.
However, he immediately ruled out Vodafone's offering, saying: "Neither of its two 30-day offers … [has] any Wi-Fi component and they are by far the least attractive options."
So that leaves O2 and Orange.
O2, Mr Wray stated, is probably the best bet for light/irregular, regular and heavy 3G and Wi-Fi usage in terms of pricing, with packages starting from £2 a day.
"[The network] … allows anyone signing up to its three tariffs unlimited Wi-Fi access to BT Openzone hotspots as well as locations operated by The Cloud. In total that will give iPad users with O2 access to Wi-Fi in 7,500 places across the country," he said.
However, there's something to be said for Orange's pay monthly 15 and 20 and 5p/MB pay-as-you-go deals too, if you're ok with exclusively using 3G internet access.
What package would you go for?
