Heathrow train connects to Wi-Fi

Heathrow train connects to Wi-Fi The Heathrow Express has become the latest wireless internet hotspot in the UK.

Customers on the London Paddington to Heathrow route will have access to the internet and email for their entire journey, including the full length of the six-kilometre tunnel section.

Wireless internet is fast becoming a staple for common business routes in the UK – earlier this week Stagecoach, which owns the Oxford Tube, announced it would be continuing with its free on-board wireless connection.

The new network has been launched in cooperation with T-Mobile Hotspots, which states that wireless users can continue using the internet when they arrive at Heathrow as well as at central London locations such as Starbucks coffee shops and Borders bookstores.

Heathrow Express said in a statement: "The new Wi-Fi HotSpot service will enable customers aboard the Heathrow Express to make more effective use of their time; catching-up with those last minute emails, Googling that pre-meeting research, checking that their flight is on time, or even watching the goal they missed while they were in the air."
