Hispanic station launched

Hispanic station launched A new station offering Spanish television shows and video content has been launched for broadband users looking for Hispanic shows online.

Canal Internet has launched the site, which will include over 20 shows, such as Policias en Accion and programmes from Endemol Latin America, with other production houses expected to be involved at a later date.

Nicolas Grapper, director of international productions for Endemol Latin America, said: "Endemol is always looking to be innovative and is betting on the future.

"We believe that the internet represents the future for audiovisual content distribution."

It has also been announced by CBS that it will be offering classic shows from its library online, including full-length episodes of Star Trek and Macgyver, supported by advertising revenue.

The shows will be available for broadband users to watch on CBS.com, as well as to a network of websites including AOL and Sling Media, reports Digital Producer.
