A security device from Yoggie Security Systems has been awarded the Best Wireless Broadband Innovation at the Wireless Broadband Industry Awards 2008.
The Gatekeeper Pico Pro fits into the USB slot of PCs and laptops, where it can boost performance by offloading installed security software whilst keeping internet threats at bay, which could interest wireless broadband users.
Yoggie has explained that the tool can be plugged in and forgotten about, as updates are automatic through the mini-computer system.
Organiser of the awards Michael Gebert explained: "Yoggie Security Systems has proven itself as a true Wireless Broadband Innovation Award winner by providing excellence and innovation in a highly competitive market place."
In April this year, Yoggie Security Systems announced the release of the Gatekeeper Card Pro, a computer with its own processor, also used for security against internet threats, which can be inserted into the ExpressCard slot of a laptop.
