TalkTalk Broadband gives you speeds of up to 24Mb - even at peak times. TalkTalk will automatically give you the fastest speed your phone line can physically support up to a maximum of 24Mb (or 24 megabits per second).
The only exceptions to this are people who are living far away from their telephone exchange and those that live in very remote rural exchanges which are not being upgraded.
Recent results have shown that TalkTalk users receive an average speed of 4.26Mb.
For those of you who are looking for an extra speedy connection, TalkTalk are planning to launch a Fibre Optic Boost which will provide speeds of up to 40Mb.

Having previously caused a stir in the ISP market with their revolutionary free broadband offer, TalkTalk are once again taking a lead in the market with myTalkTalk, which allows you to pay for what you want, not what you don't. With myTalkTalk, you start with the bare necessities; TalkTalk Broadband Essentials gives you speeds of up to 14Mbps and a 40GB monthly download limit along with unlimited Evening and Weekend calls (01, 02 and 03 numbers and now 0870 and 0845 numbers) for just £3.25 a month so you don't pay for services you either already have (like security software and firewall subscriptions) or might not necessarily want to have all the time (like extra downloads or anytime calls). TalkTalk Broadband Boosts are available from £1.99 a month: Super Secure Boost (£1.99 a month): TalkTalk Online Security is provided by F-Secure, and allows you to safeguard up to three PCs at once. International Boost (£2.99 a month): Anytime landline calls to 36 international destinations. Mobile Saver Boost (£2.99 a month): Get a 50 per cent discount on those calls and save a bundle. "Have the anytime and line rental package. Its cheap and works most of the time. Talktalk are geting better but still have away to go with the call centre in India as they are very polite but also quite useless. The low line speed is down to Telecom rotten old copper wires and their lack of investment, so we cannot blame Talktalk for this"
