Vodafone have recently made significant upgrades to their 3G networks, improving call quality and reception, as well as allowing for improved data transfer speeds for their mobile broadband products. Mobile Broadband from Vodafone gives you the freedom to connect to the internet on the move, and offers you a choice of different broadband speeds. The standard USB Modem allows you to connect to the net at speeds of up to 3.6Mbps; the more advanced USB Modem Stick™ provides connection speeds of up to 7.2Mbps.

"I have had Sky broadband for about 6 weeks and so far I haven't had any problems at all. The wireless router they provide is not the best, but for the cost the package more the lives up to my expectations!"

"Sky should really stick to television, because their broadband service simply isn’t good enough. I signed up to their £26 a month TV, phone and broadband package which means that broadband works out at just £5 a month, but to be honest it’s not worth it because it’s so unreliable. More often than not I don’t get a connection at all, and when I do it often cuts off – very annoying when you’re writing an email or chatting on skype. You’re supposed to get 8mb but mostly my speed is about half that. In my first month the service was down for 2 days. When I tried to ring customer services I was put on hold for half an hour. In my opinion it would be better to pay slightly more for a reliable provider."

"I've always been sceptical about mobile broadband taking off in the UK – broadband speeds at home are something of a joke, how could it be any better over a mobile network? I was forced to eat my words once I used Vodafone's Stick device. A work colleague lent me his laptop for a conference and I had half an hour to kill in my hotel room. I didn't think I'd be even to get a connection in half an hour, let alone rattle of a series of emails. I've since signed up and got a Stick on a 24 month contract – highly recommended."

"Sky broadband is good apart from the initial set up. You have to wait 10 days for connection and a further few days for all of your equipment if you connect your router yourself. Other than that I'm really pleased with the speed, connection and price!"
