Cheap Mobile Broadband

Mobile Broadband services are available as either Pay Monthly contract plans or Pay As You Go-style rolling monthly contracts. Pay Monthly plans range from 12 to 24 months in length, with some 18 month contracts also available. The Pay Monthly Mobile Broadband plans are generally good value for money if you need to be connected to the web on the go fairly frequently. With a Pay Monthly Mobile Broadband contract, the cost of the USB Dongle - the plug and play device you connect to your laptop or computer - is either included in the contract, or is available at a discounted price.

By contrast, with a Pay As You Go Mobile Broadband payment plan, you will usually have to pay for the whole cost of the USB Dongle, although if you only see yourself using the service every so often, then this works out at better value for money than if you had signed up for a contract.

Mobile broadband solutions are generally used when out and about, sending and receiving emails on your laptop on your way back from work or college. However, when you're moving house, they can also be useful back up broadband solutions.

By plugging into the USB socket of your desktop computer, mobile broadband hardware is ideal for those moving house who need to quickly get online to check important emails whilst waiting for a MAC code or for an old connection to be ported across to the new address. Seeing as there's no need to wait for connections, or to install a new line - as the USB dongle simply connects to the internet via a cellular mobile phone connection - you can easily surf the web at your new home whilst waiting to get set up with your new contract.
