No Contract Broadband
There are a number of home broadband providers who provide flexible broadband contracts that don't require you to commit to a lengthy subscription which would put you out of pocket if you are moving house, or only living at a rented address for less than a year. No Contract Broadband also includes Mobile Broadband providers, who offer rolling single monthly and Pay As You Go style mobile broadband solutions for those customers who only need to check emails on the go once in a while, again representing better value for money than a fixed term contract.

No Contract Broadband Explained
Broadband products available outside a typical contractual basis are ideal for those living in rented accommodation, or those just about to move house - if you won't be staying at one place for longer than a year, or will be moving house in a matter of months, then there's little sense in taking out a 12 or 18 month broadband contract.
Switching from a long-term contract to a monthly contract is a good idea if you're moving house, as the flexible nature of these kinds of broadband product means that once you're all set up in your new home, you can easily get back online and then switch to a new long-term contract once you're settled for good.
As well as single month home broadband plans, you can also get 3 month plans, which although not as flexible time wise, often work out at better value for money, whilst still being comparatively flexible in comparison to the long term year long and 18 month options.
Mobile broadband solutions are generally used when out and about, sending and receiving emails on your laptop on your way back from work or college. However, when you're moving house, they can also be useful back up broadband solutions.
By plugging into the USB socket of your desktop computer, mobile broadband hardware is ideal for those moving house who need to quickly get online to check important emails whilst waiting for a MAC code or for an old connection to be ported across to the new address. Seeing as there's no need to wait for connections, or to install a new line - as the USB dongle simply connects to the internet via a cellular mobile phone connection - you can easily surf the web at your new home whilst waiting to get set up with your new contract. The Pay As You Go nature of single month rolling mobile broadband contracts provides a practical and cost effective solution.
