Customers who have TalkTalk YouView will now be able to access Netflix streaming content from their set-top box by the end of January.
Subscribers who have a YouView-based TalkTalk TV package will have to access their Netflix account through their set-top box.
Customers without a Netflix account will have to subscribe to enjoy films and a range of TV series through their TV.
BT and other YouView boxes were able to access the streaming service at the end of 2014.
TalkTalk has revealed that the software update will be rolled out to customers who have already registered their interest and is expected to be available to all of the provider’s 1.2 million pay-TV subscribers by the end of January.
Netflix offers a varied library of content, with different subscription options to suit the customer.
Subscribers can choose to stream content for £5.99 a month, which allows you to play films and series on one device at a time.
The standard subscription, for £6.99 per month, lets customers watch content on two devices simultaneously.
Netflix’s premium offering is £8.99 per month, which allows viewers to watch content on up to four devices in HD.
The news comes shortly after TalkTalk bought Tesco’s Blinkbox streaming service last week for £5 million.
In recent weeks, broadband providers have begun to compete against each other quad-play packages, with landline, broadband, TV and mobile coming under one deal.
If you’re looking for a pay-TV package, compare broadband, phone and TV deals from a wide range of providers.
