Plusnet’s #LovesYouBack campaign reveals what makes Britain’s day

Plusnet has released findings from a study which asked people what made their day better, as part of its #LovesYouBack campaign.
2000 people were asked what made their day as part of the survey, with the results showing the country’s appreciation of the small, everyday things.
9 in 10 of those asked claimed a small thing can make a bad day better, citing spontaneous hugs, cars letting you cross the road and doing a good deed for someone as things that can improve their mood.
42% even stated that finding an unexpected bargain can be a highlight of a day.
Psychologist Jo Hemmings claimed that the smaller aspects of life are often the most important.
“We think it’s the big things – the dream house, expensive holiday or flashy car – that make us happy, but the secret is so much simpler. Holding open a door or saying “good morning” can make a real difference to someone’s day; and the good news is that it will make you feel better too!”
The survey also asked people what can spoil a good day, with findings showing that 72% of people are annoyed by people not saying thank you or pushing their way to the front of a queue.
Plusnet’s #LovesYouBack campaign aims to focus on the provider giving back to its customers, as well as ordinary people who make day to day life better.
Customers can nominate someone who improves their day by visiting the Plusnet Facebook or Twitter pages.
CEO of Plusnet, Andy Baker, said that the provider wanted to encourage people to give back to those who deserve it.
