A new study has revealed that Sky’s customer service is the highest rated in the sector, according to customers.

The survey, conducted by Ofcom, showed that Sky customers had a higher satisfaction with customer service compared to other providers.

80% of Sky customers were said to be satisfied with the customer service they were offered, an impressive figure when compared to its rivals.

TalkTalk received a satisfaction rating of only 53% whilst Virgin Media and BT came in with a joint second figure of 67%.

As well as broadband services, Sky also came out on top when it came to landline and TV, with the provider scoring 79% and 76% for both.

The survey also looked at the number of people contacting customer services for all providers, with an average of 19% of broadband customers contacting their provider in 2015.

Out of this figure, 47% of those who contacted customer services were dealing with a fault or repair, making this the most common reason for calling.

Managing director of Sky’s customer service, Chris Stylianou, claimed that it was important for Sky to deliver a quality product as well as customer service.

“Along with providing world class content and making sure our customers have the very best viewing experience, delivering consistent market-leading customer service is a vital part of our strategy.”

“We want our customers to be happy with the service and support we are providing and these results are a real testament to the hard work of everyone who works in our customer service teams.”
