Vodafone updates business mobile broadband pricing

May 12th 2009, 15:59

Vodafone has announced a number of changes that are to be made to its mobile business broadband packages.

The network has announced that from £5 per month it will be offering access to a special range of services designed to be ideal for use by small and medium-sized enterprises.

Named Vodafone Business Clarity, the new price plan is intended to give smaller firms the opportunity to more closely control their spending on broadband and telephone services with a simplified "predictable price" that runs month to month.

As part of the deal, users will enjoy unlimited calls to any network or landline in the UK, as well as unlimited voicemail and 40 per cent off mobile email and web access.

Commenting on the launch, enterprise director for Vodafone UK Peter Kelly said the move was in response to requests from its existing business customers for a more manageable mobile broadband and phone deal.

"Vodafone Business Clarity, together with our flat rate £18 mobile broadband plan, with its 5 GB fair usage and no out of bundle charging, gives managers the predictability and control to focus on running their businesses," he explained.

A spokesperson for one small company, TTL Automotive of Oxfordshire, welcomed the new pricing structure stating: "It's more transparent so I know exactly what I'm paying for each month."

In other news, Vodafone UK also announced this week it would provide its Secure Remote Access mobile working solution to financial and business advisory group Grant Thornton as part of a two-year contract thought to be worth around £2 million.
