Best Broadband

What do you want from your broadband product? What is best for you and your current situation? Are you renting an apartment on your own, or sharing with friends? Do you want a broadband package to cater for the needs of your family, or do you want a single connection that allows you to work from home? Will you be gaming, working, downloading music, blogging, shopping online, booking flights and holidays, social networking, looking for the best deals on car/home/travel insurance… or a combination of all the above?

The Best Broadband products for the casual light users are those broadband products that are bundled free with some mobile phone and digital TV subscriptions - seeing as practically everyone had a mobile phone these days, and will be required to get signed up for digital TV in time for the great Digital Switchover in 2012, it makes sense to take a free or discounted broadband product if it suits your personal requirements.

The best broadband product might not necessarily be one that gives you the best broadband product - it may come with additional cost-saving extras such as free line rental, or unlimited anytime calls to UK landlines, which can see you making substantial monthly savings.

By the same token, if the broadband products on offer aren't at all suited to you and your situation, then don't take up the offer just because it's cheap - if for example you sign up for a broadband product with a usage policy that's inadequate for the net browsing habits of you and others you're living with, then you could see yourself disconnected after having exceeded the usage limit halfway through the month, and then still be effectively paying for a broadband service you can't use.
