Sky launches Sky Live interactive camera

Sky has launched a brand-new product which works in tandem with its Sky Glass streaming TV.

Sky Live is an interactive camera which comes with four core features bringing your TV life.

It offers high-quality video calling via your big screen, allowing more scope and high definition visuals when you’re chatting with friends and family. It’s powered by Zoom, with users able to use a Freemium account for 40 minutes, or go for Premium for unlimited calling.

It also boasts a market-leading co-viewing experience, giving users the ability to watch their favourite content together.

You can catch TV shows, films and sport together in different locations, and that includes the full range of Sky Sports channels.

The third key feature is immersive, hands-free gaming. Through gestures and movements, your body acts as the controller instead of any hardware.

You are treated to a great selection of games, and there are effects and filters so you can create your own shareable content.

Finally, Sky Live gives you your own fitness studio in your home. The Skeletal Response tech uses your actual body to gauge posture, and you’ll have a personal trainer (virtual, not actual) helping you achieve your fitness goals.

There are loads of great fitness features packed into Sky Live and it really takes the device up a notch in terms of value.

Sky Live is only available as an add-on to Sky Glass. It’s priced at £6 a month as a credit agreement for 24 months. After that, you own the camera, so it’s similar to a new phone on contract where you pay it off over time.
