Experience a high-quality connection with Sky Full Fibre Broadband
Sky’s full-fibre broadband subscriptions offer lightning-fast download speeds and a smooth, stable service. Everything is competitively priced and you can create the ultimate home subscription by also taking Sky Stream.
Sky Full Fibre Broadband
*Please note that Sky Fibre Max and Sky Fibre Unlimited no longer exist. Instead, Sky now offers Sky Full Fibre Broadband subscriptions.
Along with its unbeatable TV service, Sky customers can take advantage of some fantastically fast, reliable full-fibre broadband services. All of these come with completely unlimited download speeds and Sky’s Speed Guarantee so you’ll be able to experience the speeds you pay for.
Slick, ultrafast speeds
Sky’s entry-level full fibre broadband service, Full Fibre 75, exceeds the best superfast fibre option offered by Sky previously, with 76Mbps average download speeds compared to 67Mbps, and a faster, more reliable connection on the whole. As a general guide, this should be enough to comfortably support a family of four who enjoy HD video streaming, online gaming and downloading content on their individual devices.
You’ll also receive an average upload speed of 19Mbps which is great for those who enjoy posting lots of photos to social media.
Sky Broadband Full Fibre
Sky's Full Fibre Broadband offerings are their new standard, showcasing that they are one of the major players in the industry and have a lot more to offer than simply being a premium TV service company.
Full Fibre services offer impressive average download speeds, ranging from 76Mbps (Full Fibre 75) to 500Mbps (Full Fibre 500), meaning that everything from glossy 4K streaming to working from home and downloading large video game updates feel absolutely seamless.
Sky have also now launched their Gigafast+ services, which offer blistering, simultaneous speeds of 2.5Gbps and 5Gbps - the fastest broadband offering from any major UK provider. These services are available now in select CityFibre-enabled locations across the nation.
Get more out of your connection with the Sky WiFi Max
Customers can make their Sky fibre broadband service even better by purchasing a Sky WiFi Max add-on.
With WiFi Max you’ll be guaranteed to get WiFi in every room, or receive your money back. If you don’t see the expected speeds throughout your home, Sky will check your setup for potential improvements, and may even send an engineer or provide you with WiFi extenders.
You’ll also enjoy advanced security for safer browsing, parental controls, mobile data to cover broadband outages and you’ll be able to book engineer visits at times that suit you.
Can I get Sky Fibre?
The Sky broadband fibre services are, for the most part, delivered to your home over BT’s Openreach network.
Sky Full Fibre Broadband uses Openreach’s FTTP (fibre-to-the-premises) infrastructure, which sees a fibre optic cable run straight from the exchange to your household, with no copper wires to bottleneck your speeds.
Sky’s new ultrafast tiers, however, are powered by a strategic expansion with CityFibre, one of the UK’s leading full-fibre infrastructure providers. CityFibre’s network currently spans over 4 million homes, covering around 15% of the UK, with plans to extend even further.
This partnership enables Sky to compete at the very top end of broadband speeds while improving reliability and coverage beyond Openreach-enabled areas.
Provided your home is in an area covered by the Openreach network (or CityFibre for the faster tiers), you should have access to Sky’s fibre broadband offerings. And if you don’t have access just yet, with over two-thirds of UK homes expected to be FTTP-ready by early 2026 you may not have to wait long.
